In a recent New York Times interview Adm. (ret) William McRaven shared the books that have most influenced his thinking throughout his military career. He offered the following list:

On War by Carl von Clausewitz

The Art of War by Sun Tzu

The Command of the Air by Giulio Douhet

The Influence of Sea Power on History by Alfred Thayer Mahan

Finally, he singles out Scipio Africans: Greater than Napoleon by B. H. Liddell Hart as the book that most influenced him as a special operations officer.
