Seeking New Opportunities for Self-Development

February 18, 2021

Before we can lead others, we must first lead ourselves.

Before we can effectively develop others, we must first develop ourselves.

Self-Development is critical to a holistic approach to our development as leaders. Our experiences within units and institutional learning events alone are insufficient. We must take ownership for our sustained learning and growth as leaders through self-development.

While COVID has introduced countless challenges and restrictions in our workplaces, hindering many touchpoints for development with others, it has also cultivated new, creative opportunities to enact development. COVID has become the catalyst to finally move many of our formations and how we conduct daily business into the digital age.

Part of this digital transformation includes normalizing digital platforms for communication. And we believe our friends at 3×5 Leadership are doing something great with this new found opportunity! They’ve introduced monthly Zoom-based webinars to host after-hours discussions on building better leaders. These conversations explore important, diverse leadership topics and share practical ways to apply them within your own team.

And we are honored to join the 3×5 Leadership team for their February webinar! Our founder, Joe Byerly, will discuss the important topic of “Leaders are Readers” – the art of reading for leader self-development. We encourage you to learn more about and register for this month’s webinar as we address why developmental reading is important, discerning what to read, and how to sustain a routine reading habit!

So, REGISTER HERE for 3×5 Leadership’s February webinar occurring on Thursday, 25 February, at 8:00 PM EST. We believe it will be well worth your time.

You can learn more about 3×5 Leadership HERE and check out some of their recent content HERE, as well.

Here’s to continuing to find innovative ways to best develop leaders and engage in deliberate conversations about these important topics. Cheers! We look forward to seeing you on the webinar!
