Brigadier General Patrick J. Donahoe

Brigadier General Donahoe, a native of New Jersey, is the Deputy Commanding General – Operations, Eighth Army. He received his commission in May of 1989 through the Army Reserve Officers’ Training Corps program at Villanova University. Brigadier General Donahoe holds a Bachelor of Arts in History, a Masters of Advanced Military Studies, and a Masters of National Security and Strategic Studies. His military education includes the Armor Officer Basic and Advanced Courses and is a graduate of the United States Navy Command and General Staff College, and Senior Service College Fellowship at Harvard University. Brigadier General Donahoe most recently served as the DCG-O and Acting Senior Commander, 10th Mountain Division, Fort Drum, New York. Brigadier General Donahoe and his wife, Theresa, have been married for over 24 years and have three daughters, Peyton, Brenna, and Delaney.

 

Colonel (Ret.) Steve Leonard, Doctrine Man

Steve Leonard joined the KU School of Business as the Director of the graduate program in Business and Organizational Leadership following a 28-year career in the U.S. Army. He is a former senior military strategist and the creative force behind the defense microblog, Doctrine Man!! A career writer and speaker with a passion for developing and mentoring the next generation of thought leaders, he is a non-resident fellow at the Modern War Institute at West Point; the co-founder of the national security blog, Divergent Options, and the podcast, The Smell of Victory; co-founder and board member of the Military Writers Guild; and a member of the editorial review board of the Arthur D. Simons Center’s Interagency Journal. He is the author of five books, numerous professional articles, countless blog posts, and is a prolific military cartoonist.

1st Lieutenant Kelsie Cochran, Lady Loves Taft

Kelsey is a junior officer in the U.S. Army. After commissioning as an artilleryman, she found a calling working in Public Affairs. In her spare time, she runs a popular twitter account, @LadyLovesTaft, which offers an honest perspective on the life of a Lieutenant. Kelsey is passionate about “lifting the veil” in an effort to make service members more relatable to civilians, and she encourages young, diverse leaders to lead authentically and with compassion.
